Listen to magic chilled on google home speaker

Can anyone listen to Magic Chilled radio on their Google speaker? It used to work fine but now it always just plays Magic radio on planet radio.

Not sure if it's me, but my 'smart' speakers seem to be getting dumber.

I’m the same, it’s so frustrating! I don’t know why it’s not playing!

At least I'm not alone. Will try and report it

Yes it's resolved, when you asked Google nest to play magic radio, it now chooses the correct stream of planet radio 👍

Hey Sirch777,

I am glad to hear everything is working properly, and the music station is playing the correct music. With the issue being resolved, I am going to lock the thread at this time. If you have any questions from here, please feel free to create a new post. Enjoy the tunes!

Magic radio (parent company PLANET RADIO) no longer  allow 3rd party services to stream their station i.e TUNEIN , which is what your Google nest speaker used when it connected to Magic.

See for details: magic.co.uk/stream

I've updated my Sonos to now use the PLANET RADIO  service instead of TUNEIN, ..but still figuring out how my Google nest can work from my Google Home routine command (instead of manually using the magic app on my phone and hitting the CAST button top right)  🤔

Hey folks,

Thanks for sharing details about the issue here and apologize for the late response.

To confirm, is the issue isolated on a specific radio station only? If yes, this looks like an issue with the station itself and not with the Google Home/Nest speakers. Also, as mentioned by Sirch777 (Kudos to you for sharing that information), the parent station limits the stream of station to third-party services like TuneIn. Meanwhile, you can cast the station manually from the app to your speakers.

Cheers,

Muddi
