Hi,
For both my google home first generation and my recent google home speaker, the device will let me set a media alarm specifying an artist to play (my system has both youtube music and spotify subscriptions). However when it is time to actually play the alarm its says something has gone wrong. Is there a fix for this issue?

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing with the media alarm. Let’s further look into it. Were you able to set up a media alarm before? What country are you in? Can you play specific music just fine?

There are people on Reddit with similar reports. They also say they are receiving notifications on the Nest Hub that media alarms will be discontinued from next year February. Can you please confirm this?

Thank you for your message. Yes, media alarms as well as character alarms used to work, but now do not. I had used previously either connected Spotify or YouTube music accounts for playing music for the alarm. Those accounts currently still work for directly playing music.
