Mi smart speaker does not respond

The assistant does not respond, basically it seems to have gone deaf. I tried listening back to the command recordings and I noticed a lot of static that perhaps was overshadowing my verbal commands. I factory reset the device twice yet it still does not respond. Please can anyone help in resolving this?

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re having with your Mi smart speaker. The troubleshooting steps you’ve tried are what we normally do on Google Home/Nest speakers and displays. Since the issue persists after doing those steps, it’s best to contact Mi Home Support, as we have very limited support for third-party speakers.
