MiSmart Clock is still unable to be installed

Hi everyone,

Is there anyone who still has a problem installing the Mi Smart Clock by Google Home?

I am receiving the following error message:

The operation couldn't be completed.

(kGSKErrorDomain error -83902.)

I have filled the form for support, I’d anyway have ideas or experiences you have.

Thank you for reaching out to the community! I apologize to hear that you're unable to add your Mi Smart Clock to the Google Home app. Help’s here!

 

To better assist you, I’d like to ask the following:

 

  • Where did you purchase the Smart Clock?
  • What type of Google account are you using? If you're using a Google Workspace account, it may limit certain features in the Google Home app. In this case, using a personal Google account might be helpful.

There are several reasons why you might be experiencing difficulty setting up your Mi Smart Clock, including the device's region of purchase. Devices purchased in other countries may not be compatible with your region or the manufacturer's specifications.

 

To troubleshoot this inconvenience, please try the following steps: 

 

  • Check for updates to the Google Home app and your mobile device's software.
  • If the mobile device is set to a different region, temporarily change your mobile device's region to US English.
  • Set the Google Assistant language to EN_US or English US. Refer to this article for guidance: Change the language of Google Assistant.
  • Close the Google Home app and reopen.
  • Attempt to add the Mi Smart Clock to the Google Home app again. For instructions on adding third-party devices, refer to this article: Connect third-party smart home devices in the Google Home app.
  • If possible, try adding the Smart Clock from a different mobile device.
