For some reason “google” lady has gone into over drive. How do I get it to stop saying mic on mic off every few seconds?!

Check the microphone switch on the back of the display isn't stuck halfway between on and off. If not fixed after checking the switch then try a reboot as MPIsCustomer suggested. Then if need be try a factory reset to rule out a software issue.

If the above doesnt fix it then you likely have a faulty/broken microphone switch

Try rebooting your Nest Mini, either by unplugging to for a minute or from within the Google Home app.

Did that but now have a solution! Was being dappy 🙃🙃

Haha to be honest.. I had the same happen to me the mic going on and off for a few days then one day I felt this switch on the back and went "Ooh there's a microphone switch, wonder if this will fix it" 🙃

Glad it was a simple fix though 😁
