I have updated my electric light switches and sockets to chrome versions in my kitchen/dining room on Monday. We went to connect our Mini Home after the electrician left and it keeps saying "I am trying to connect". It is right by the BT Halo extender.
On the 1st and 2nd floors of the house we have kept the existing white plastic versions and Mini Home is working correctly.
I have rebooked the router, reset the Home Mini to factory settings, updated and then deleted the Home app.
It was only when I went upstairs to try the Home Mini that I realised that a white plastic socket works, but a chrome socket causes the issue.
Has anyone else had the same issue?

Hello @Janewe
Thanks for reaching out to our Nest Community about your Google home. I apologize for all the inconvenience. I'm here to help you with that.
I completely understand your situation. There is probably a voltage difference between the connections that causes this disconnection. If you have determined that this socket is causing the problem, I suggest you do not reconnect the device to avoid physical damage and contact an electrical professional to determine if your power supply is working properly.
If your device continues to have this error, do not hesitate to provide me with more details and we will definitely work to find a solution for your situation.
Feel free to keep us posting about your situation. I'm happy to assist you.
Best regards,
Douglas.

Apologies for the delay in replying. I will get my electrical to check the downstairs voltage on these new sockets. Cheers
