Morning Routine Doesn’t Play Music

So I’ve never used the morning routine feature before and the only google nest product or similar that I own is my Nest Mini. The start for the routine is already set, so I added some actions, Adjust Media Volume, Play a delightful chime, tell me the time, tell me about the weather, tell me about todays calendar, tell me todays reminders, then play music from one of my spotify playlists, the only music i have hooked to my google. I say “good morning” it says good morning back, tells me the time, the weather and temperature, then says “sorry this cant be done on this device, heres the latest news” and starts to play news, and thats it. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong? I’ve tried to put just artist names and it still doesn’t work, and it doesn't tell me about my calendar.

This is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few questions: were there any recent changes made? Have you tried other music services? If so, how was it?
It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:
- Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
- Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
- Restarting your phone might also help.

Not any changes that I’m aware of other than I reset my nest mini to switch to a new google account but that was over a year ago. I don’t have any other music services other than Spotify so no, and I’m not switching to a new one because I pay for Spotify Premium. I’ve rebooted, restarted, and reset my google nest mini, my wifi router, and my phone many times prior to this, and none have solved the issue.

Apologies for the delay and we appreciate all your efforts. We'd like to take a look at the firmware version of your Nest Mini. Follow the steps below:
- Open the Google Home app
.
- Touch and hold your device's tile.
- Tap Settings
Device information.
- Under "Technical information," check for Cast firmware: "X.XXX.XXXXX." If the device is on Fuchsia, check for System firmware version: "X.XXXXXXXX.X.XXXXXXX"
Also, what country are you located in?
