Motion Sense Off icon

I now have an icon in the upper right corner of the default (picture frame) screen of my Google Hub (2nd gen) indicating Motion Sense Off.  That's new, right?  I don't want it.   Any way to get rid of it except by turning Motion Sense back on?

Swipe up from the Bolton of the display, select the settings icon on the right. Scroll down until you see Motion Sense, turn it on/off there.

Motion sense is such a crap product. Is there a way to have it off without having to see this stupid icon on every screen all the time???

Did anybody find the answer?  Montion sense set to off, Alarm function motion gesture set to off ... but have an icon on my clock screen.  Is there a way to get it off?

Google support told me this is functioning as designed and not able to be removed when you turn motion sense off.

I've already spoken to Google support. They said this is FAD and not able to be changed. If you turn motion sense off you'll see the icon on every screen.
