Motion triggered display on Google Hub from Google Nest Floodlights

Hi all,

new to Google Forums.

I have recently installed a Nest Floodlights. I would like to display any motion triggered activity on the Hub display inside the house.

Furthermore, I want this display to last only while there is activity, not stay on for ever (as it would when I say "Hey Google display deck camera").

How would I go about accomplishing this?

Unfortunately, the only option Google Nest has for displaying camera feeds automatically is for "Visitor announcements" for when a doorbell is pushed, not for any other events on cameras or doorbells.

Other customers in this forum have also asked for such a capability.

I don't know. I haven't tried anything with routines or automation, but have seen posts from other customers expressing frustration with trying to do things like what you'd like to see.  (That doesn't mean it can't be done; it just means I don't know.)

Scottyboy, I totally understand that this is a good feature to use with your Google Nest Hub, but it isn’t available. I'd suggest you submit feedback about it, here's how.

On another forum, there was a solution.........using a 3rd party device and app - Homey. Homey, apparently, connects to most devices out there, and can apply conditions.

I discounted this idea, for it does not make sense to bring in a 3rd entity for a functionality between two google equipment.
