Hi,
I recently moved into an apartment that has 4 built in Nest/Google speakers in the ceiling. I was told by our landlord we can access them via a "panel" on the wall but the only panel or "panel-like" thing we have is the Nest thermostat.
If I remove the thermostat, there is a slew of buttons/wires in the circle, some of which say "aux".
I have tried to find information in this forum about how to configure this panel but have not been successful. Please let me know if there are any instructions/advice about using this system.
If a picture of the system would be helpful, feel free to reply with your email.
Best,
Matt

Google Nest speakers are NOT controlled by a "panel" or by a Nest thermostat. If you want to be able to use the Google Nest speakers and thermostat in your apartment, then the previous "owner" of the devices must FIRST remove them from their Google Account in the Google Home app (or in the Google Nest app, depending on the thermostat). The previous owner needs to do this while still on their old Wi-Fi network. Then you may need to perform a factory reset on each device and them install them on your Google Account in the Google Home app (or in the Google Nest app, depending on the thermostat).

Thank you! I was certainly confused by my landlords description so I appreciate you confirming that the speakers are no being controlled through the Nest device. I will reach out to my landlord for maintenance to come check it out.

I'm not sure "maintenance" can help. The previous "owner" of the devices (which is probably the previous tenant) should have gone into their Google Home app (or the Google Nest app) while still on their Wi-Fi network and removed the Google Nest devices from their Google Account.
