Multiple Devices Responding to Switch on Lights

I have a number of nests minis situated in various rooms around the house.  I also have two switches, one controlling The Lights in the living room and another for various electrical device in The Blue Room, both these switches are  associated to the mini in my living room.  It use to be the case that in the living room I could say Switch off The Blue Room or Switch off the Lights and the living room nest would repeat the command and action the switch off.  What is happening now is two new things.

1) If in any room I say Switch Off - the nest in that room will switch either The Lights or the Blue Room off.  I have worked out that I now have to say, Switch Yourself Off in order for any mini not to switch off The Lights or The Blue Room.

2) If, in the living room, I say the command Switch off or Switch on, for either The Lights or the Blue Room, I no longer get a repeat of my verbal command but a short audio beep.

I would like to be able to go back to my original set-up where in the living room I got a repeat verbal command and not having all mini devices switching off The Blue Room or Lights when I say Switch off.  I.e. not having to say Switch Yourself Off.  I am a little perplexed why this change has happened.

Hi quarkrad,

Thanks for reaching out. We're expanding the use of chimes to acknowledge smart home requests to operate devices in the same room in response to feedback from our own internal trials and the helpful input from the Google Nest community. You can check out the helpful link below to learn more about it.

We appreciate people who are keen on sharing their thoughts with us. We're always looking for ways to improve. I'd suggest you submit feedback about it. See the article below on how to do it.
