Multiple Displays Suddenly Not Operating

Hi there!

I've had my Google Home up and running for years - moved multiple times and never had issues with different setups. Been in my current place since March. About three months ago my Google Home app became very slow to connect to my home - sometimes requiring me to close the app to restart the connection. Additionally my smart displays (2 nest hubs, one Lenovo smart display) became unable to respond to commands 75% of the time and the Lenovo spends about half the day not connected to the internet at all.

I've tried factory resetting all of my smart homes. I've tried creating an entirely new home in the app. I've tried moving devices around to different areas of my home to see if it was a problem with the vicinity to the router; nothing worked. So I bought a new mesh router system (Eero pro 6e) and reset the whole system once more hoping this might help. I've had it for a month and so far, it hasn't helped.

Has anyone else had this kind of simultaneous slow down across devices? Particularly my smart displays all seemed to start having issues around the same time and I'd hate to have to replace them.

Thanks!

Steven

[EDIT]

I have spent some time testing further today. It appears the issue is with the Google Home 'network' in my house. I hooked up a brand new Sonos speaker with Google Assistant and it's facing the same issues - it thinks about my request for about 10 seconds and then says "hmm something went wrong, try again in a few seconds". This is what my displays and other assistant devices have been doing for months. It seems to be related to the issue of the Google Home app taking a very long time to load all my devices. However, as I said I've gone and set up an entirely new network in my house recently but that didn't solve it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hey sweber97,

Thanks for sharing details about the issue here. I know how challenging it is when your devices are having issues when connected to your network. Let's dig deeper into this. This looks like an issue with the network itself since all your Google Nest Hub, Lenovo display, and smart devices have the same issue. Let's go ahead and try setting up one of your devices on a different network like mobile hotspot. This is for us to further isolate network issues.  Please note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one will serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your Nest Hub).

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers,
