Same problem again which hundreds of people have reported. Yet AGAIN several devices respond at the same time. I have nine of them. Am I supposed to factory reset all of them AGAIN and then set all nine devices up AGAIN? Please fix this issue properly and promptly... alternatively give me a refund as the products aren't performing. Your approach to fixing things is lamentable. Perhaps I should've gone down the Alexa route?

Hi Kambo,
Thanks for reaching out.
We're sorry to hear about this experience. If you’re near your Google Home device and phone, only Google Home should respond to "Hey Google." Both devices may wake up, but your phone should go back to sleep.
Step 1: Update your Google app version
If your version is below 6.5, go to the Google app page, then tap Update.
Step 2: Add the same account to both devices
Let us know if these steps work.
Best,
Princess

Hi Dan. Unfortunately I don't understand the instructions to Step 1, so have made no progress. Thanks. Kam

Thanks Princess. Unfortunately I do not understand Step1. The instructions don't correspond to anything on my phone. Kam

Thanks Dan. I tried this. The instructions aren't quite correct on that page as home screen doesn't look as described, however I found my version number and it is 13 something, so well above 6. Any thoughts? Thanks. Kam

Hello again,
Apologies for the delayed response. I wanted to check if all your devices are still responding at the same time? Have you tried doing a sequential reboot starting with your WiFi router, next your devices and then restarting your phone might work. Tell me how it goes.
Best,
Dan

I would like to point out that I am also having this issue, but it is slightly different. If I haven't spoken to a Google Home device in a room in a while, only the first time that I say "Hey Google,...", both my Pixel 6 and Google Home device will respond. After that, just my Google Home device will respond, as it should. This usually happens when I go to my bedroom at night and go to set an alarm for the next morning before going to sleep, and both the Google Home Mini in my bedroom and my Pixel 6 will set an alarm. If I then right after say "Hey Google, what time is it?" only my Google Home Mini will respond.
