Hey Nest Community!
Is anyone else out there super frustrated with their Google Nest Mini 2nd Gen, or is it just me having a really tough time with it? Mine is just acting totally unstable, and it's seriously not cool! Like, it should just work, right?
Here's what it's doing, and it's SO annoying:
* Constantly offline: It keeps dropping off WiFi all the time! And then I get these messages saying it "couldn't connect" or asking me to "download the Google Home app" again, even though I already have it and use it 24/7?! It's super weird!
* Resets itself: Seriously, it just starts acting like a brand new device that needs to be set up again, out of nowhere. Super disruptive when you just want to play music or ask about the weather.
* Network issues that make no sense: I've found out, and lots of others are saying the same, that it apparently has problems with both IPv6 and 5 GHz WiFi. And my Nest Mini is RIGHT next to my router, so it's definitely not a signal issue. But people are saying you have to turn off IPv6 or force it onto the old 2.4 GHz WiFi just to make it stable. But come on, Google? A brand new product should just work out of the box!
This thing is pretty much useless now. I've seen so many others online having the same problems, so I know it's not just my device. There must be some kind of major software bug.
Google, what's the plan?
Are we getting a software update soon that actually fixes all these basic stability and network issues? And when can we expect it? We really need a fix!
Anyone else dealing with this? Drop a comment below!
Thanks!

The Google Nest Hub losing Wi-Fi connection has nothing to do with the Google Home app.
I have a mesh Wi-Fi system and if I turned off one of the satellites nearest to the hub it goes into search mode for another Wi-Fi source.
Who's router do you have? Did you buy it or did you receive it from your internet supplier? They aren't the best as they give you the cheapest model. Rebooting your router might give you some relief whichever router you own.
I'm running a 4G (SIM card) router with Wi-Fi 6 and haven't had any issues except for the occasional router reboot.
