Hi -OFF-,

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

I understand that you are having trouble trying to set up your new Google Nest Audio. I appreciate the troubleshooting efforts you’ve already completed to try and activate your device. I'm happy to jump in and help get this resolved.

Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:

  • Are you using the latest version of the Google Home app? If not, you can check this Google Help Center article to learn more: how to update the Google Home app.
  • Are you using an Android or iPhone device to manage your speaker?
  • Is your smartphone’s operating system updated?
  • Is your smartphone linked to the same Wi-Fi network that you are trying to connect your speaker to?
  • How far from the router is your speaker?
  • Which Wi-Fi frequency band are you trying to connect to (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)?
  • Is your router at a hotel, school, dorm, or business?
  • Are there any other networking devices on the network aside from the wireless router, such as an extender, repeater, or another access point?
  • Are you receiving any specific error messages in the Google Home app or on the speaker when you attempt to set it up? If so, please let me know.
  • What is the status of the LED lights on the speaker?

Please reply with the requested information so we can continue troubleshooting and find a solution.

Best regards,

Virna
