Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:
- Are you using the latest version of the Google Home app? If not, you can check this Google Help Center article to learn more: how to update the Google Home app.
- Are you using an Android or iPhone device to manage your speaker?
- Is your smartphone’s operating system updated?
- Is your smartphone linked to the same Wi-Fi network that you are trying to connect your speaker to?
- How far from the router is your speaker?
- Which Wi-Fi frequency band are you trying to connect to (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)?
- Is your router at a hotel, school, dorm, or business?
- Are there any other networking devices on the network aside from the wireless router, such as an extender, repeater, or another access point?
- Are you receiving any specific error messages in the Google Home app or on the speaker when you attempt to set it up? If so, please let me know.
- What is the status of the LED lights on the speaker?
