For me it was the nest wifi causing the problem, please factory reset the nest hub and connect it to your mobile hot spot also connect a tablet/ipad to the same network. And using the google home app install it. Iatet switch to your local Wi-Fi. The problem in my wifi was the dns, change yours to 8.8.8.8

If you need more help let me know

I got in touch with Google after experiencing this problem, and they provided this fix, which worked for me:

  1. At the back of the Google Nest Hub Max, unplug the power cord and wait for 10 seconds, then plug it back in and wait until the screen with the "G" logo shows up
  2. Repeat the first step, 10 more times.
  3. After you plug the power cord back in, wait for the device to reset. The device announces "Welcome to Google Home" to signify that it's ready for setup.
  4. After all that, do the factory reset by pressing both up and down volume buttons/bar at the same time then wait for it to boot up. Please set it up afterwards.
