My YouTube videos won't auto play.

When watching media on the device it will not autoplay the next video.  In the settings of my google home app, I have the setting "on" for autoplay.  Is there anything else I can do to fix this?

Hey CamH,

Thanks for reaching out.

To make sure the settings are properly sync, check this out:

  1. Make sure the mobile device you're using is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as the speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app.
  3. At the top right, tap the account (the icon with the customer’s initial or profile picture).
  4. Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to the Google Home or Google Nest device.
  5. Go back to the Home tab.
  6. Tap the device card of the preferred speaker or display.
  7. At the top right, tap Settings > Notifications and digital wellbeing >YouTube Settings.
  8. Tap on the slider on On or off Off for the following restrictions:
    • Restrict for me
    • Restrict when someone isn’t recognized
    • Autoplay next video
    • Turn off for me
    • Turn off when someone isn’t recognize
    • Filter content for YouTube TV (Select the TV Parental Guidelines they want to allow on the device)
    • Filter for me

Also, make sure that Autoplay is enabled on your YouTube app as well. Give rebooting your Google Nest Hub and router a try to refresh the connection.

Looking forward to your response.

Best,
Alex
