My Google nest mini spoke to my kids tonight. It kind of freaked us out so I started searching settings and activity on my account. In my activity I noticed several occasions specific dates and times that it said I visited nest help topics. I haven’t visited any of these topics especially on the dates and times listed. Topics like how to turn off best cameras, locating chrome cast tv, how to set timers. Does this sound like I was hacked? I’m alarmed because we switched systems after our Arlo home camera system was in fact hacked. Any advice?

This is not the experience that we wanted you to have, let me help you out. A few things: Is your Google account signed in to another device like a computer, laptop or maybe a cell phone? You can check the devices section on your Google account settings to confirm and check each device's activity. Check this link.

For your Nest Mini concern, have you got any more Nest speakers? If so, is there a possibility that a home member used the broadcast feature? You can send a message to everyone in your home with this feature. Also, you can check my activity section in the Google Home app and look for the time when your Nest Mini announced a message. Below are the steps to get to it.

Check your Google Assistant activity history

1. Open the Google Home app .
2. At the top right, tap your account.
3. Tap My Activity .
