My display only shows a black screen with a G on it, how do I get it to full turn on?

• Which specific display device is this post in regard to? (model name, generation number)
• When you see the G, does it have a white or a gray background?
• Have you tried conducting a Factory Data Reset?
• Could you post a photo of the screen with the G on it?
