My mini nest speaker keeps cutting out. (I have 3 in different rooms) I have rebooted all and turned router off and on. What should I do next?

Hi all,
Thank you for getting back to me and for the follow-up. I appreciate the effort you’ve put into resolving this, and I’m happy to continue assisting you.
We need you to send feedback via voice command by following these instructions:
Turn on device reports:
Send feedback via voice command:
This feedback will be essential for our engineering team to investigate the matter and work toward a stable fix.
I hope this helps!

Done for both speakers in the house
Tuesday
Hi Anna,
I did this on Monday 4th May, and your support couldn't help. They checked my smart speakers, and they are both working fine. It looks like a BBC problem. I have reported it to the BBC, but have not heard anything yet. Shame really, you would think the BBC would want to help, seeing that in the UK we pay a licence fee to watch and listen to the BBC. What's even worse is that I used to work for the BBC! And I still haven't heard anything!
Thanks for you help
Phil
yesterday
If only that worked; even factory reset will not work. clearly Avery bad bug from google and or the BBC
yesterday
@AnnaV I've done "Send Feedback... GHT3 23803 BBC radio playback issues." for 2 of my 3 Gen 2 Nest mini devices shortly after they each individually had failure as described. First one at approx 2026 May 06 T06:25:00Z (I can't use ISO8601 format for the time in this reply!)
yesterday
I've had the same issue for about a week on BBC radio playback only, other radio stations stream fine. I've followed the reporting steps above too. I wait to hear.
Monday
Same issue. Works on TuneIn radio, but direct bbc stream has buffering issues for past few weeks now. Can not get it fixed. Definitely an upstream issue that BBC needs to assess and fix. Ruining the experience
Tuesday
Same, can't use BBC sounds with nest anymore, cuts out after about 20 seconds
Saturday
When I say 'Hey Google, play Radio 4/3/whatever' it plays 20 seconds of radio, then nothing for 10 seconds. Then it plays the same 20 seconds of music
Yes, I've tried rebooting, factory resets, re-adding to the network. Yes, I know the ecosystem is broken because Google only cares about AI now. Yes I realise none of the product teams talk to each other.
I'm not interested in 'advice' that implies it's my fault, what I want is a timeline for when Google are going to fix it - it's your responsibility.
Saturday
...and don't get me started about how YouTube M*sic is these days...
Saturday
I've got exactly the same issues. Only bbc sounds affected and all 4 of my nest mini speakers are doing the same boot and loop audio and only happened now Gemini is involved. I know this because of the "different" American accent!
Sunday
I have the same issues!!!
Tuesday
Same as well. I found that my cast firrmware is out of date and it will not update.

I factory reset all my nest speakers and all was well until this morning; then the same problem cutting out all the time. Google if you are listening can you fix this please?
Tuesday
Yes me too, this exact same issue. Started over the last weekend.
Tuesday
Exactly the same thing happening with my speakers. Will not fix with reboots or resets
Tuesday
My 1st Gen mini is working fine on the latest firmware but not my 2nd gen one
Tuesday
OK so I think we'll get somewhere if we just go down the chat route when reporting this, rather than anything else. I've had a very productive online chat, which is now being escalated to 2nd line because nothing they suggested solved the problem. If we all report it this way, we might get something done. Cheers.
Tuesday
Quite!
Tuesday
BBC seem to be onto it now. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/help/issues/smart-speaker/google-live-stream-issue
yesterday
Good to hear! The BBC possibly has more leverage to get it fixed than I do!
Sunday
Nest keeps dropping out of live radio then a few seconds later returns and repeats the segment. This keeps happening on a loop every few seconds.
Sunday
That looping issue would drive me crazy! It sounds like the speaker is losing the connection to the radio stream, buffering, and then trying to catch up. Have you tried unplugging the speaker for a minute to give it a fresh reboot? Sometimes just asking it to play a completely different station helps clear the cache too. Hope it stops glitching for you!
Tuesday
I have exactly the same problem. No amount or reboots (of router or nest mini) , factory resets, clearing caches and data from Google home, Deezer, Spotify, BBC sounds offers any solution either.
Can anyone suggest anything else?
yesterday
I’m having the same problem. Sounds like a software issue as both of my Google nests have started doing the exact same thing at the same time. Have factory reset them both etc etc and nothing has worked.
yesterday
Sounds like the same issue. Streaming different Radio stations produces the same error.
yesterday
Same here. Is this a recent software update bug?

I'm having the same issues. Nothing LLMs suggested helped. Renders my Home Minis useless for listening to BBC

happening to me also - feels like it started after upgrading to gemini. other media channels on nest mini 2 don’t have this problem, just BBC sounds. reported it to google.

@Everyonefor a fix. Worth doing this on each of your Minis, since more reports from more devices strengthens the case for a fix.
Lierally just say this out loud to your Nest Mini:
1. "Hey Google, send feedback"
2. It will prompt you to speak your feedback
3. When it does, say the phrase: "GHT3 23803 BBC radio playback issues"
That's it. The keyword routes your report directly to the Google engineering team working on this specific bug.
It's just a voice command - same as asking it to play music or set a timer.
For a Sirius user, I don't know, because there isn't an equivalent code in this thread, the safest options would be:
- Still try "Hey Google, send feedback" and when it asks what, just describe the problem in plain language - it may still get logged usefully even without a ticket code
- Post here in this Google Nest Community forum and explicitly ask a Community Specialist for the equivalent feedback keyword for SiriusXM issues
