My mini nest radio reception keeps cutting out

My mini nest speaker keeps cutting out. (I have 3 in different rooms) I have rebooted all and turned router off and on. What should I do next?

I came here to say the same. Two speakers in separate rooms both decided to keep cutting out. Also followed instructions to reboot.  Bit of a coincidence??

Having the same problem, we listen to BBC radio 2 every morning and it just keeps cutting out, beem doing it since tuesday about 11:30 gmt, then really bad yesterday and today.

Same here for BBC R4. Started happening a few days ago. Done all the usual things: reset speaker, router etc to no effect. Other non BBC stations etc UK gold, Absolute 70s ok

We’ve had the same problem for a few days now. Very frustrating. Tried reboots, resets, updates. All to no avail. Has this major AI integration upgrade messed things up I wonder?

Having problems with voice comnand, connecting me to another radio station in another country. Rebooted, switched off power, hubby even tried, redid voice...cant get back to my radio station no matter what...its missinterpreting my commands. Is it this Gemini system? As recently switched and even having issues in my car re voice commands. Even went on Google support but got cut off as there was an 'emergency' after 10mins or so, seemed weird....Any ideas how I can fix this? Can I go back to Google Assist?

Is Google attempting to use the Radio app instead of TuneIn?

I sometimes have this problem with Google Assistant and Alexa.

It could be a bug with Google and TuneIn.

Try another radio station in your home town.

I dont use TuneIn as this does not have ABC News Radio, Radio App does and I have been using this for months now until a few days ago. I also use Google Assistant not Alexa.

I did try another radio station and same deal but it went to some unknown radio station. Toronto Radio seems to be Googles favourite at the moment but not mine.

ABC News Radio - using 'Hey Google, play ABC News Radio on Radio App' this worked fine up to 1 week or so ago. Even hubby has tried his VC and same result.

• Does this happen on a specific Google Nest speaker or display, or is it occurring across all your devices?

Both the Nestle Hub Display and Google Nest Speaker. Works fine on my phone.

• Are you having the same issue when you use other commands?

Only this radio station seems to be an issue other stations commanded play ok.

• Are you using an Android or iPhone smartphone?

Android - Samsung S25 Ultra.

• Is your smartphone’s operating system updated?

Yes, checked and updated. Is the most recent. I restarted my phone a few times. Installed and uninstalled radio apps and cleared caches. For Google, Radio App, ABC Listen App etc.

• Which app are you using to stream your radio service?

Usually Radio App but tried ABC Listen App. Saying it cannot find it.

• Have you verified if there has been a recent update to the radio station's setup or availability/

Yes plays fine on my phone no issue. I also checked for updates for the radio app, ABC listen app etc.

Not premium, this is a national broadcaster.

Yep no did not work. So called the ABC News Melbourne and that worked but not the national broadcaster.

Tried to add in the frequency which is 1026 AM and stated it could not find it but started on my phone which was close by.

Did this and found it worked but got the ABC News Melbourne broadcast, which is not what I want its the national broadcaster that I am after.

I am still unable to stream SiriusXM so whatever issue isn't resolved. I reported my info through the device a few minutes ago. It tries to funnel everything through YouTube music even though Sirius is listed as active for radio. Please advise.

Never mind. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it's responding normally. I guess it glitched on the latest Gemini nonsense.

I assume this is an issue with a Gemini update. Meaning that the keywords that used to work to play a linked SiriusXM account are no longer recognized. Someone coded in the wrong place and broke a function that worked for years.  It's about all this speaker was good for so if it doesn't get fixed all that's left is being a timer.

I have a Google nest home Max when I tell it to play SiriusXM, it plays Spotify when I tell it again it says XM‘s not available when I tell it again it plays Spotify again when I tell it again it plays SiriusXM finally.  sometimes it lies and says it’s playing SiriusXM, but actually plays an artist song from that channel on Spotify when I ask why it lies it makes other stuff up

For the last few weeks I've been unable to stream any BBC radio stations through my Nest mini.

I'll ask it to play BBC Radio 2, it will start playing then stop before either repeating the same last 20 seconds over and over, play part of of an earlier show from hours before or just stop completely. 

If I cast the station from the BBC Sounds app, either iOS or Android, it does the same thing. It seems that only when the Nest mini is involved there's an issue as playing by the BBC Sounds app without casting the audio is fine.

I've restarted the Nest mini as well as factory resetting it but there's no change. The Nest mini is about 6ft away from the router and all other devices on the home network are having no issues.

Other radio stations appear to play fine, it's just BBC that seems to have issues. 

Anyone else having issues or any suggestions on how to get it working?

Unfortunately there's no Radio option under Services in the Google Home app and Music only has Spotify, YouTube etc.

There doesn't appear to be any updates in Google Home and the other suggestion about saying "Play BBC Radio 2 from BBC Sounds" ends the same way.

Looks like I'll need to wait for a fix from Google/BBC. At least I know that it's not just me.

I also have this issue, other stations do not have this issue, I guess I'll be listening too commercial radio a bit more often. I have reported the issue to the BBC using the BBC sounds app.

me too, my nest mini pair is all over the place only on the BBC, LBC is fine all the time. if I ask it to play on my home group with other speakers it works fine.

Yes, happening with me too but only in the past few days.  Listening to BBC Radio 5 live and it stops and starts often repeating the same bit of radio.  So frustrating.

Same here! Just started today. BBC Radio 4, which I have been listening to on my Nest speaker for years, now pays for about 30 seconds, then stops for 30 seconds and sometimes restarts playing for another 30 seconds on a more or less continuous cycle. It has also sometimes gone into a loop where it plays the same 5 second segment over and over. This has never happened before. Rebooted the speaker, but it changed nothing. So after years of trouble free playing no reliable BBC radio. Shame...

Exactly the same here.  Have rebooted and factory reset my router and my Nest Mini 2nd Generation and no improvement.  Tried streaming from BBC Sounds on my phone - works well until I try to stream to my Nest Mini.  It seems to work if I make a home group in the Google Home App so that streaming is to both  my Google Home Hub and my Nest mini.  Have enjoyed the service for years but now very frustrating.

I reported on BBC Sounds website as well as yet had nothing back. Mine has also started playing up with Spotify. I get 10 to 20 seconds of a song and then it skips forward to next track. Trying to cast directly using phone and this won't connect either. Since moving to Gemini these have become so slow, doesn't do simple things that it used to do well such as casting to a group, sometimes it works other times it just plays on the speaker that responded. Maybe time to ditch it all
