NOTHING is recognized by all my google nest product !

I don’t understand what happened recently but all of my 6 google mini, one google regular and one google max don’t recognize anything anymore. Seriously…my playlists, my duo contact, my agenda entries I keep repeating ten times before if I’m lucky will finally follow through. What the hell happen …an update? It is really crappy. I was so into this at the beginning but now it’s so **bleep** frustrating. I regret spending 1000$ on this….. once I wanted to call a friend on duo and google was answering "not in your contacts " after eight repetition and giving me all kind of names…. Finally went through. WTF is wrong.

Honestly try factory reseting all the devices, and begin again by adding only one, and see if it works.  Sometimes there can be ghost settings that a factory reset can cure.  Yes...aggravating, but less so than having to repeat commands multiple times.

Seriously ? Have any idea how long resetting 8 devices takes ? Come on …such an easy and lazy answer. Sorry. Can we just start with one problem and try to resolve it ? Why doesn’t it recognize my entries in my agenda ? Or Duo contacts ? Or playlists ?

Sorry just to be clear I'm trying to help but I'm not a Google employee I'm a community member just like yourself (product expert just means I'm active on the boards and I respond to questions and try to help).  As for factory resetting 8 devices yes I know it does take about half an hour to do that because I have done so. It is absolutely annoying I completely agree, but it also  generally does solve the issues.

Saying this what could possibly cause this? Weak Wi-Fi, band steering issues, AP isolation issues,  incomplete voice match, multiple calendars/contact lists / accounts, even something as simple as a clogged up microphone might cause this.  I know that's not the answer you're looking for but the reality is there are just a ton of possibilities here, which is why I was suggesting the factory reset route just because it would wipe a lot of the possible software / conflict issues.

How about this, why don't you reset just one device, and try that one?  That shouldn't take more than 5 minutes, and may shed some light on this.

Hey, Suave.

Sorry about the issues you're having with the devices not syncing properly with your account. That sounds like a bit of a nightmare, but we can fix things. I have a quick suggestion that might clear things up for you. Let's go ahead and toggle your cloud services connection in the Home app. The instructions are below.

Open the Google Home app.

  1. Tap the WiFi icon.

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Select Privacy settings.

  4. Toggle Nest WiFi cloud services OFF and wait for 30 seconds, then back ON.

Once done, close the Home app and perform a full network restart to ensure that the new settings are in place. To do this, I would recommend doing a power cycle on your network and your speakers.

  1. Disconnect the power adapter and the Ethernet cable from the Nest WiFi router.

  2. Disconnect the power adapter from the Nest WiFi points and speakers.

  3. Disconnect the power adapter from the modem. Allow all devices to stay disconnected from the power for 5 minutes.

  4. Connect the power back to the modem only and wait for it to fully back up. All lights should be lit up before moving to the next step.

  5. After the modem is back online, connect the Ethernet cable back to Nest WiFi router's WAN port (globe symbol port).

  6. Connect the power back to the Nest WiFi router, the Nest WiFi points, and your speakers. Wait until they're all fully back on.

Ashepherdson offered some good insight into what might be causing the issues, and hopefully this will help with some of those. If things are still not working correctly at that point, please let me know and we can look at other steps. Thanks.

Hi, everyone.
As we haven't had any activity here recently I'm going to go ahead and close the thread. If you have more to add, feel free to start a new discussion.

I'm just a humble Google Nest customer with a couple/three less intrusive suggestions:  Do your devices all appear in the Google Home app? In the Google Home app, are you able to go to any of your Google Hubs or minis, and access or change any of the settings (like the volume?)? In the Google Home app, are you able to go to one of the hubs or minis, click on Settings, then click on More in the upper right corner, and then select reboot? If none of these work, can you unplug one of them for a minute and plug it back in, so that it reboots, and then see if that helps?
