Need help with nest hub (2nd) update

Hey guys.

I do have a question. I do own 4 nest hub (2nd) for whatever reason three of the do have an way older firmware... is there any way to force the update? Its really sad because the one with the newest version works way better 😩

Could it be an profile issue? The three ones with no update where set up with the same google account. The newer one was set up with my wifes profile... do i have to change some settings?

Please help!

Don't update ever if you can help it. Google habitually unimproves their products with software updates. If things work for you, keep the versions.

Hi everyone,

Tobi0983, we can’t force an update on any Google Nest devices. Firmware updates are slowly rolling out in each region; we just need to keep the devices connected to the Wi-Fi. Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with.

Slant, this is not the experience we want you to have—we’ll definitely take this as feedback

Alex

That is EXACTLY the experience you want us to have. So your products fall into disuse and people can buy the next generation of good working stuff that gets deprecated with every update a little more.

Don't bull**bleep**. If this isn't an intentional unimprovement, how do you explain it getting through your QA department that you can't do any smart home control from your Nesthub 2? Supposedly the flag ship before the tablet thingy. NONE of the smart home controls show up. Nah, that was intentional. Keep your PR talk for your managers, they seem to be impressed by their own bull the most.

Everyone: Move away from Google. It's a waste of money and time.
