Google nest has stopped playing Newstalk 106fm from TuneIn

My nest has stopped playing Newstalk 106fm radio (Irish radio station) on TuneIn. It will play RTE or Sunhine106.8 ok, but cannot "find" Newstalk. How can I resolve? I've tried the obvious initial remedies like switching everything off and on again, etc., to no avail.

I have been on to Google but they have no solution

Can't get any Irish radio stations on my Google speaker since I moved to Sky Ireland last week. Google speaker does tell me that 'I'm in Ireland'.  BBC Radio 2 works fine. Previously Newstalk, Today FM & Antenne Bayern worked but no more.

That's interesting PugMugget. Thanks. I've emailed Newstalk and suggested that their customers for advertising can't be happy that this issue exists.

Newstalk 106fm still not available on the Google nest. It either gives Sunshine 106.8 if I ask for Newstalk 106fm or, if I just ask for Newstalk radio, I get some inane presenters on a station from Dayton, Idaho, engaging in idiotic groupthink!

I had exactly the same problem.  I used to just say "play newstalk" or play "newstalk from tunein", but doesn't work anymore. A quick google brought me to this and other forums. Another forum just suggested you say "Play Newstalk FM".  I just tried it and miraculously it worked.  Give it a try.

Strange Cosie. With mine, the voice message from the nest says "Streaming 107 point O FM Newstalk", but then the usual ads play and following that Newstalk 106 fm comes on.

Thanks for reaching out. We are glad that smurphy99's suggestion worked. For those who are still having concerns about playing this station, try to reboot your Google Nest speaker or display, then try it once more.

@Juni  rebooting doesn’t help so no point in  doing that. Asking for “newstalk FM” does work! So it would be best to stick with that.

As per above. Just say “Hey Google, play newstalk FM”. It really is that simple.

Doesn't work on my Google nest mini.

Most elegant solution at this point was the purchase of an Amazon Alexa.
