Hi all,
I've been working with support for almost a whole week and go the meh/too bad/pound sand on a replacement response today.
My Google Nest audio all of a sudden wasn't showing up in my Home app. I proceeded to factory reset the device and reconnect it. During the set up I was able to locate the speaker and hear the chime, but when it came time to connect to wifi, no wifi networks appeared.
After a week of back and forth, I found out today that they're basically saying it's defective (less than 2 years old) and that I'm out of luck.
Anyone else have this issue? I've tried every single trouble shooting step possible. It sounds like whatever hardware that operates the wifi part of the speaker is just broken.
Google has been so unhelpful and uncaring. I feel like I'm always defending the Google eco system to everyone I know (I currently have multiple nest audio devices, two Pixel phones, Google One subscription, YT Music subscription, Nest cameras, etc.) and experiences like this make me feel like the clown. Google has seemingly really declined as of late with no support to those of us who have been rode or die from the beginning.
If you have any idea how to fix this or get a replacement, please let me know!
