Nest Audio Speaker hung

My speaker is stuck with the 2 center white lights on.   I have unplugged it for 30 seconds replugged in and still get the same thing.  I can't hard reset because none of the buttons register.  Is there anything I can do?

Hi AaronEast,

This is not the experience we wanted you to have, let me help you. A few things: when did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made? It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes tops.
  3. Try connecting to a different power outlet
  4. Do a factory reset to revert your Nest Audio back to its default and original settings. Here's how:
  • On the back of your device, switch the mic off. The lights will turn orange.
  • Press and hold the center of the Nest Audio, near the top. After 5 seconds, your device will begin the factory reset process.
  • Keep holding for about 10 seconds more, until a sound confirms that the device is resetting.

Keep us posted.

Best,

Dan

I did get it to work, but it was strange.   I had to unplug it and let it sit 45 minutes 3 different times.  Also is there a way to reset it when it is in this state?  The 2 middle lights were on and I could not press any of the buttons...

Hey AaronEast,

Chiming in, we're happy to hear that your Nest Audio is now working. It looks like your device received an update and it took longer than usual that's why it's stuck on 2 lights. Currently, the only way to reset the device is to switch off the mic then press and hold the center of the Nest Audio, near the top.

Let us know if you have additional questions or concerns about your device, otherwise; we'll be closing the thread after 24 hours.

Cheers,

Muddi
