Nest Audio - Two White Dots - Unresponsive

BTH_0104

Hello There,

I have a set of Nest Audio speakers.  One of them is working fine.  The other has two white leds on the front and is completely unresponsive.  With the mic button turned off, I have tried the power cable reset unplugging it 11 times and plugging it back in with no success. I have tried holding down the play/pause button on the top also with no success.   I even left it unplugged for about a month and still when I plugged it back in the two white dots are still there and the speaker is completely unresponsive.  I tried swapping the plugs in case one was not at full capacity but both of them work on the good speaker.  I am completely out of ideas.  Any suggestions?

Hi BTH_0104,

That certainly isn't the experience we want you to have and we're here to help. By the way, thank you for taking the steps before posting but, for confirmation, was the factory reset steps the same as what you find in this link?

Looking forward to your responses.

Best,

Dan

Hello - Yes, I am still looking for assistance as no one has responded with any resolutions.  Unit is still sitting with only 2 white dots.  Non-responsive to everything.  It has been rebooted, reset, unplugged for an extended period of time, all with no effect.  The 2 white dots remain.

Hello BTH_0104,

Thank you for the reply. Let us try these steps: you'll be needing two mobile phones for this to work. One phone is what you will use to set up your Nest Audio and the other phone is where you connect your Nest Audio to. Do a factory reset first, then connect one phone to the other via hotspot. Proceed with the set up.

Tell us how it goes.

Thanks,

Dan

Perhaps I am not being specific enough.  The speaker is UNRESPONSIVE to everything.  It cannot be set up in the Google Home app as it cannot even be identified.  I have a set of these speakers.  One of them work just fine, the other does nothing.

This speaker works fine...

This is all this speaker does (2 white dots)- It is completely unresponsive and is not visible in the Google App.
