I've had Google speakers for years. I've got a small Google Home Speaker and a Nest Audio and about 6 months ago they both went terrible at recognising my voice. Today it's been particularly frustrating so I'm trying to find out what's going on finally.
I said just to the speaker "play staying out for the summer by dodgy" and it said "ok playing music by dodgy". I looked at what it recognised and it heard "staying at for the summer by dodgy". Then I said "play music" and it said "playing songs by muse". I listed to the recording of what it heard and it was perfectly clear with a definite 'musikk' but it still went for Muse. My phone is fine at recognising me so my personal voice match is fine, it just seems that Google assistant on the speakers is doing strange things with what are perfectly clear voice recordings. I've read that this is happening to many others in the UK too so is it a known thing for UK users? The speakers are getting to be almost unusable now unless I just use them direct with Bluetooth and don't use voice.

Hi Darrenm,
Thanks for posting.
I know how it feels when something isn’t working the way it should. Let's get this sorted out. Try to factory reset your Google Home speakers — doing this will set them back to their default settings. Set up the Google Home speakers and monitor. Let me know how it goes.
Regards,
Alex

Hi. It seems better. Less 'hey Google, play music', 'ok playing Muse on Youtube Music' than before. This is probably Ok to mark as solved by retraining the voice model.
