The last two or three weeks suddenly all my Nest devices (2 x Nest Audio - paired as one set) and my Google Nest mini, need about four times the same instruction before responding.
"Something went wrong, try again in a few seconds". Nothing has changed on my network. I use a semi-professional mesh network from Ubiquiti.
Speakers play streaming music all day long without interruption. Also, casting is not a problem at all. Devices are visible all the time and everything (except the assistant-function) work perfectly.
I have seen several posts with exact the same problems described, but they are all closed to comment on.
When I reset the devices, Wifi, Router etc it all seem to work fine, for 10 minutes or so. Then the problem reoccurs.

Hi Incognito_007,
Thanks for reaching out and letting us know about your Google Assistant concern. I'm committed to providing you with excellent customer service and will do everything I can to help you resolve this issue. A few questions: when did it begin? Were there any recent changes made? Are you getting the same response when you use your phone’s Google Assistant? Also, could you confirm if this is how you did the reset? Check out the link below.
Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays
I look forward to your response.
Regards,
Juni

Hi! Thanks for your efforts.
It's hard to say when it all started, but i guess about end of november. No changes were (actively) made. Maybe my Fiber-modem has had an update, but I'm not sure. I updated the firmware of the modem to a newer version, after the problems already occured, but that didn't change anything.
I have a very stable and optimized Wifi (Unifi) system with wired accesspoint in the house, which give me about 100% constant connectivity. I have two Nest Audio's on 2.4 ghz and the Nest Mini on 5ghz to see if that matters. All three devices have the same problem last weeks. The year's before that, no problem at all. Always direct response without delay at a ' Hey Google' question.
Modem has got 1Gb fiber up and downstream from KPN (provider in the Netherlands).
The Google Assistent on my Iphone (and connected to the same 5Ghz Wifi network) seem to have no problems. When I ask a question I get a response. In the same minute I ask the same question at de Nest Audio, I get the response; "Something went wrong, please try again in a few seconds" (in Dutch).
I did not reset the devices to factory defaults yet, because I find it hard to believe that that would solve it, as all devices react exactly the same on commands. Sometimes an answer, most of the time not. I will try however to reset at least one of the devices to see if that will change the outcome.
Streaming and casting to all devices work perfectly. No hick-ups, and constant connections.

Update on this topic:
I have turned on my modem's Wifi and connected two Nest Audio's to the modem's Wifi (instead of Unifi - Ubiquiti's Wifi). This works fine. I have reconnected one Nest Mini completely to factory default and the Unifi - Wifi. This doesn't work. I can only conlude that it has to do with the Unifi in combination with the Google Nest.
