Nest Audio is only reacting on the 2nd voice command or not at all

Hello,

 

since 2 or 3 months the Nest Audio is not working at all.

I have 2 of them, one in the living room and 1 in the bathroom. They are not paired in stereo mode.

I usually give voice commands to dim the light, play music or set a timer. Worked all well. But now I have to repeat every command at least one time. Everytime i give a command the lights are coming on and it seems to be working but it does not react to the command for a few seconds. Then the lights turn off, I repeat the command and then it will execute it. It´s very annoying. Can somebody please help me to fix it?

 

Tried restarting, resetting and so on. No network connectivity issues. What is the problem here? It was working all good but suddenly the device really got annoying.

 

Oh i forgot to mention something: I also have got 2 nest minis. One in the bedroom and one in the working room. They are working normal. The problem is only with the Nest Audios for some reason.

Hey dudesiemer,

 

Sorry to hear about your experience with your Google Nest Audio - let's figure it out.

 

A few questions:

 

  • How far are your Nest Audio devices from your router?
  • How often does it happen?
  • What is the current firmware version of your Nest Audio?

To eliminate network issues, please try setting up one of your Nest Audio speakers using a mobile hotspot. Please note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one will serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your Nest Audio).

Hello,

I restarted the router and now the problem seems to be fixed. So no more help needed for now. The nest audios are working fine again. Hope it stays that way 😊👍
