Hello!
I have been all over my router's settings, but for the life of me cannot find the AP Isolation / guest network settings. I don't think my router (Nokia wifi Beacon 6) has any.
I've tried all the tips I have seen on the forums. Does anyone have any experience with fixing this issue on this router?
Thanks!

Did you ever resolve this issue? I have a Hub Max and am in the same3 boat. Google CS said to contact the carrier and have them disable it. Like you, I have looked at EVERYTHING in the router to no avail.

I did eventually find a work around. I dont know about your router, but mine has multiple bands that were named the same thing. I had to switch to the correct band that the google device decided to connect to on my phone to connect everything properly.
Hope this helps!

Hi Lrreese3,
How's it going with your Google Home Mini? Have you had the chance to try the suggested steps above?
Thanks,
Alex

I have attempted all of the above steps to no avail. I called my service provider to find out how to disconnect the AP but they are zero help. I have access to the settings but cannot find how to disable it.

Hi Lrreese3,
Thanks for getting back to us. As much as I want to help, I'm unable to walk you through configuring your router settings because I'm unfamiliar with your particular router and network environment. If you need help or have questions, I highly recommend contacting your router manufacturer or internet service provider or check your router manual. If you have a dual-band router, try separating them by providing a unique name for both band.
Best,
Alex

Unfortunately their response was that the device I have is faulty and I should reach out to Google for a replacement. Google CS told me to call the service provider to fix the settings. Quite the aggravating dilemma. I'm about to send the **bleep** thing back.

Hey Lrreese3,
Understood. Before we can check your device replacement, let's try setting up your device using a mobile hotspot to isolate network related issues. Try these steps:
(You would need 2 mobile devices: 1st is for the Google Home app and 2nd will act as a Wi-Fi network using mobile hotspot)
1. Turn on the mobile hotspot of your 2nd mobile device.
2. Reset your Google Home Hub to its default settings.
3. Make sure your 1st device is connected to the mobile hotspot of your 2nd mobile device.
4. Re-run the setup on your Google Home app and choose your mobile hotspot as the network to set it up.
If your device connects to your mobile hotspot, then we can say that there's something on your network that's blocking your Google Home Mini to connect to it.
Kind regards,
Alex

Perfect. I'll be glad to give this a try first. However, it will be Friday evening before I get back home to try this.

Well, that worked. I turned on the mobile hotspot on my phone and set up the Hub Max on my wife's phone that was connected to the internet via my hotspot. The hub connected and everything works. Just as I suspected nit would. So, now the question becomes, how do I get it connected to my Nokia router.

Hey Lrreese3,
Chiming in, happy to hear that your Nest Hub Max is working on a mobile hotspot. This looks like an issue with the Nokia router itself and not with the Nest display. Some of the settings on your router might not be compatible with the speaker that's why it's not connecting. To confirm, did the agent provide the recommended router settings for the Nest Hub Max?
Cheers,
Muddi

No, the only recommended setting information I have is from the home app telling me to turn off AP Isolation on the router but I have yet to find that option on the router settings. I called the service provider and they are unhelpful to say the least.

Hey Lrreese3,
We understand that your issue is isolated with your router settings. Please note that we have very limited support on your router as we don't have access to your Wi-Fi settings. It's either you contact them or check your router's manual. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
Best,
Alex
