Nest Audio stereo pair how to Mute , just need one muted or both?

Basically I rarely need to use the Nest Audio as a receiver for things like a timer or alarm etc., nor do I ask my Nest Audio to chat as it makes a bad conversationalist. Google needs to work on that, and hopefully Gemini or whatever Google makes their AI companion gets integrated with the next version of Nest Audio or whatever version takes over for Nest speakers featuring Google software. I hope its as talkative and as smooth as Copilot, but anyways, on to my point.

When I have two Nest Audio in a stereo pair, how should I go about muting the speakers, should I just mute both? Should I just Mute the left , and that takes care of the right? Am I wasting my time on this community post ___you got it.? or am I? Do I have to be a paranoid person and mute everything so my private conversations about taking over the world with Pinky go unnoticed?

A curious poster.

Mute what exactly?

The microphone, speaker volume or the assistant?

The speaker has a microphone switch.

The Assistant can be muted always or temporarily... https://youtube.com/shorts/_ALK3kFoyXQ?feature=share
