Nest Audio will not connect to WiFi, fails at the final step.

Unplugged everything, speaker is next to router, tried different bands, reinstalled home. Speaker is found, looks to be connecting and says can't connect at final stage.

Thanks for your post. I am sorry to hear that your Google Nest Audio keeps failing at the final set up step. That is a very frustrating issue and I understand your concern. I would be more than happy to help find a solution. First, I have some quick questions.

  • What country are you located in?
  • Are you seeing any error messages? If so, on the device or the Google Home App?
  • Are you on the same WiFi network as your other devices? 
  • Have you tried connecting your device to a mobile hotspot instead? What happens?
  • Can you please try to do a reboot and Factory Data Reset on your device? Are there any improvements? 
    • A factory reset will reset your Google Nest or Home speaker or display to its default factory settings. 
    • Note: This action will clear your data from the device and can't be undone.
