Nest Hub 2nd gen Display with black screen showing vertical bars on both sides

My Hub bought on 28 May, 2023 developed the above display issue a week ago.  It will only show videos on the left and right. The touch screen still work as I could pause and play songs from Spotify. After a couple of days with no improvement (hoping for some nightly updates), I did a factory reset. This is when the fun starts. I can't scan the blurred QR Code. So I continue w/o scanning. Next step is to key in the 8 digit setup code on the bottom of the display. I could only find a 14 digit serial number. I tried various combinations but none work. 

I have done a feedback on my phone Home app. a couple of days ago but I have no reply yet. Please respond pronto. Thanks.
