Nest Hub 2nd gen - tapping screen not working at night

In the last few weeks I've been unable to get any response after tapping the screen of my Nest Hub 2nd gen at night. It just remains black - almost as if something has told it to power off.

The screen "wakes up" only when the morning alarm goes off or if I turn on a light source.

Anyone else been seeing the same recently?

Have reported it to Google support.

  • The problem only happens at night or persists during the day?
  • Did you try to Restart or factory reset your Nest Hub?
  • Have you done troubleshooting steps? If so, can you list them?
