Changing Wifi

I wanted to switch the wifi network uses. Google makes this impossible without a factory reset (which is ridiculous!). I factory reset the device. When I go through setup now, it gets to the part where you set up the wifi, the app says it can't communicate with my nest hub max. My nest hub max says Connected. The password I'm entering is correct. Every other device works with the new wifi. How can I set up my device again? And am I going to have the same issue with Chromecast? I need to switch it as well.
