Nest Hub Black Screen

Similar to others here, my Nest Hub 2st Gen suddenly stopped working. woke up one morning to a black (backlit) screen, and despite attempting all the recovery methods listed on the thread about this, I have had no success in reviving it.

When attempting to place device into recovery mode I see a grey screen with white google G logo in centre. this remains for some time and does not progress.

When performing the 11 time power down for full reset I see again the grey screen with white google G in centre for a few seconds, this then loads to the standard start screen of white background with multicolour logo that animates etc, and then simply loads in to a black screen.

I am using the original power cord with no damage and other Google devices working well on the same network. Not sure about updates or versions, since the Goggle Home app now says all the setting for the device are unavailable.

It’s frustrating to have such an expensive device suddenly stop working, especially since this is clearly not an isolated issue, based on the message boards.

Please advise.

the same (or very similar here).  Stuck on Gray screen with G in the center.  Can only do factory reset if power up while holding the vol keys, at which time it does do its factory reset countdown.  But it just ends up on same grey screen with G in center. Did it again right before bed last night, to see if the 'wait' game might work.  9 hours later, same gray screen, with G in center, nothing else.

Similar issue. Mine

is during set up. It got caught in a cycle of colored dots, popping noise so I did a factory reset. Now it’s stuck on the grey screen with white G on it. Looking forward to an answer.

My Nest has a  blank screen, looks like alot of people are having the same problem, will Goggle replace it, what advice can you give me?

I too have been having problems with the display. It's presenting me with search pages that have a black background, making it impossible to read the text. As a Google One subscriber, I spent time troubleshooting and resetting the device with a Google Expert (by phone), but it helped some issues, but not this one. I've had problems with it since I purchased it and wish I hadn't made the investment. Owning several Google devices, this one is the most fraught with problems, and Google One has been worthless. (I'm still waiting for their "call back" from a ticket I put in that resulted in a 4am call, expecting me to do troubleshooting at that hour.)

 

Can anyone help me with the searches that yield pages with black backgrounds?
