Nest Hub Gen 2 Freezing

My Nest Hub Gen 2 is randomly freezing. This happened twice so far in less than 24 hours. I've only had it for about 2 weeks. I see others have experienced the same issue but no resolution was given and the threads eventually get closed for no activity. What is the solution to this?

Hi folks,

@nmbgeek, @jax_b, that certainly hasn't been easy for the both of you but not to worry, we're here to help. A few questions: when did the freezing start? Does it freeze randomly or when playing music or when responding to commands? What troubleshooting steps have you done so far? It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first. Unplug the power cord of your router followed by your Nest speakers. Plug them back in after 3 minutes or 5 minutes tops. Restarting your phone might also help.

Tell us how it goes.

Best,

Dan

I decided it would be easier to just return.  My primary smart home is through Home Assistant and a new device from a competitor allows their app to be side loaded.
