Nest Hub Gen 2 Spotify Stutters At Song Start When Playing to Bluetooth Speaker

Hi,

I have searched and found multiple other users who have reported the exact same issue I'm having, but it has yet to be solved and all threads are locked.  I'm hoping that someone has been able to figure it out.

The issue is that when I play music on with my Google Nest Hub 2 connected to a bluetooth speaker, each time it plays a new song, it plays for 1 second, then stutters for 1-2 seconds, and then resumes the rest of the song correctly.  This happens at the beginning of every single song it plays, whether it's Spotify, YouTube Music, etc.

Like all of the other posters, I have rebooted everything many times and tries multiple bluetooth speakers and even bluetooth receivers connected to an Amp, and the behaviour is the same - skips at the beginning of EVERY song.  As an example, my current setup is using a Mii B06 Pro bluetooth receiver connected to a Harmon Kardon amp.

If I play from my phone directly to the same bluetooth devices, it works fine.  If I play music on the Google Nest itself (without connecting to a bluetooth speaker), if works fine.

Has anyone been able to find a solution to this issue?  It has been driving me crazy for months to the point where I'm considering just switching to Alexa.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing this with your Google Nest speaker. Could you please send us a short video clip showing the issue? Also, does it happen when you try to play radio while your Google Nest speaker is connected via Bluetooth? Lastly, have you already perform a factory data reset on your speaker?

Hey, Im having the exact same problem. I use a Google nest mini and a Bluetooth adapter to play Spotify on a Logitech speaker set. I tried two different Bluetooth adapters already, nothing changed.  I was on the phone with Google support and they suggested it must be a faulty device after we went through all the trouble shooting . But now I have a new Google nest mini and the exact same problem again. So it's not the nest, and probably not the Bluetooth adapter. How can I fix it? Every other device like phone or laptop plays Spotify through that setup without the interruption are the beginning of the song, only the nest does that. Help would be greatly appreciated, cause that's one of my main use cases, otherwise I have to switch to Alexa, which I'm trying to avoid.
