Nest Hub Gen 2 Spotify stutters when playing via Bluetooth

All the previous threads on this topic have been locked, the most recent one in December of 2022. Has anyone gotten Google to own up to this being a problem? I just want to know that it's a known issue even if there is no current fix, so that I can stop pursuing it.

Google nest hub 2nd gen when connected to an external Bluetooth speaker stutters for 1 to 2 seconds in the beginning of every song played via Spotify playing a playlist. The problem does not exist when playing music through the internal speaker.

Hi genEus,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

I know how it feels when something isn’t working as it should. A few things: when did your issue begin? Is it isolated to Spotify only? Have you tried using another music provider like YouTube music? What steps have you taken to fix the concern?

You can do a sequential reboot. First, unplug your Nest Hub for 30 seconds, then do the same thing to your Wi-Fi router to refresh both devices and your Wi-Fi signal. Rebooting the phone connected to the Bluetooth might also help. To further isolate the issue, try to use another phone and observe if the issue remains.

Keep me posted.

Thanks,

Juni

Hello. I've restarted all involved devices, no difference. This issue has been reported by other users, just search the forum. Problem does not exist when using the built-in nest hub speaker - only when connected to an external Bluetooth speaker.

Hi genEus,

Is it also happening when you connect your Nest Hub to a different Bluetooth speaker? Also, have you tried using a different music provider or playing radio? Give resetting your Nest Hub a try to see if that helps.

Regards,

Alex

I have reset my nest hub, and I have this problem with different Bluetooth speakers. First, I was connected to an Amazon echo dot 3 with a stereo out to a receiver, and now the nest hub is connected to the 1Mii HiFi Bluetooth 5.0 Music Receiver. I also tried with the Harman Kardon onyx Bluetooth speaker. With every device it's the same issue.
