Nest Hub Gen2 no sleep sense settings

Angie90

Hi all,

I can’t seem to find an answer that helps me.
I can’t seem to use sleep sensing at all. On google fit it shows everything should be connected to my Nest Hub. It doesn’t work. I also cannot calibrate it because Sleep sense does not exist in settings. I’ve already tried googling answers, found 1 article but nothing that was suggested in there helped.
I initially was able to calibrate sleep sense, but have had to do a factory reset. Have never been able to calibrate since. Is it because google fit thinks I’m connected to a different Nest Hub now? If someone could please give me suggestions that would be great. Thank you!

Hey Angie90,

Thanks for sharing details about the issue here. I know how important it is for you to track your sleep pattern using your Google Nest Hub (2nd gen). Let's try to get to the bottom of this. A few questions: how many Nest Hub (2nd gen) do you have? What country are you located in? What is the current firmware version of your device (please send a photo showing the details on the Nest Hub screen)?

Below are the steps on how to check the version of your device:

  1.  Swipe up from the bottom of the display screen.
  2. Tap Settings > Device information > Technical information. You should find your 'firmware version' on this page.

Looking forward to your response.

Cheers,

Muddi

Hello there,

Thanks for the additional information. Deactivating Sleep Sensing does not delete sleep data in Google Fit. Try reinstalling your Google Home app and re-calibrate it using the Google Home app.

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap the display > Settings > Sleep Sensing > Recalibrate.
  3. Follow the instructions on the display to calibrate.

Keep us posted.

Best,

Alex

Thanks for your reply,

done the steps you advised and still the same issue. When I try and recalibrate, it tells me to go to my display, swipe up click settings and sleep sensing. But there is no sleep sensing option.
