Nest Hub Max Died

Nest Hub has suddenly died during the night. The screen is blank and there is no response to any not and not available in the home app. Tried factory reset and unplugging and plugging back in 10 times. Any other options?

Hi Das3k,

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing with the Nest Hub Max that is stuck on a blank screen. I understand how frustrating this situation can be. But don't worry; help is here. I just need to ask for some information to provide the best solution for this situation:

  • Is the speaker or display plugged directly into a wall outlet or surge protector?
  • Is the official power adapter that came with the speaker or display used on the device?
  • Have you tried to use another wall outlet?
  • Was there any type of electrical outage around the time the issue began?

Please keep me posted. I'll be waiting for your response.

Best regards,

Jenny

  • Using official power adapter that came with device
  • I have tried multiple outlets

Hi Das3k,

Thanks for your reply and the information provided. I understand that you already tried to plug the device into multiple power outlets with the original cable, but the device is still in blank. Let's try with these steps:

  1. Discharge the speaker or display:

    • Unplug the power adapter from the outlet and the speaker or display.

    • Leave it unplugged for 20 seconds.

    • Plug the power adapter into the speaker or display.

    • Plug the other end of the power adapter into a wall outlet that works.

    • Check if any LED lights would appear on the speaker or display.

  2. If you have a second speaker or display, please use the power adapter from the one that currently works.

Please keep me posted and let me know how that goes.

Best regards,

Jenny

Tried discharging the device by unplugging for 20 seconds and plugging back into the speaker and wall and no lights appeared or sounds came out.

I don't have another nest Hub Max to use the power supply from.
