Nest Hub Max Familiar Face Detection

My nest hub max camera won’t allow familiar face detection and says: This camera is registered in an area where local law doesn't allow familiar face detection.

However, my Nest indoor cam on the same network does support familiar face detection.

I have an active Nest aware subscription.

I have already tried rebooting the device but it still says it’s unavailable.

Please help??

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest community. I'm sorry to hear your Nest Hub Max is not allowing you Familiar Face Detection. I'm happy to help you right now. 

Familiar Face Detection is only available for Nest Cameras and Nest Doorbells; the Nest Hub Max only includes the Face Match capability. Face matching is not a security feature. It is used to enhance, simplify, and personalize your Nest Hub Max experience.
