Hi srgray815,

That certainly hasn’t been easy for you. A few questions: what troubleshooting steps have you taken? Is your Nest Hub Max fully connected to your network? How about the other third-party devices?

Could you confirm if all devices are reconnected to your network using the new password? If your Nest Hub Max is already set up on a Wi-Fi network but you need to change your Wi-Fi password or connect it to a new network, you'll need to forget your current Wi-Fi network and set up the device in the Google Home app again.

Note: When you update your Wi-Fi network in the app, it updates the network for all devices in your home.

  1. Open the Google Home app
  2. Tap Favorites and open Wi-Fi.
  3. Open Network Settings.
  4. Under General, enter the network name and password then select Save.

If you get an error message that says "could not communicate with your [device]" when you try to forget your network, or the steps above don't work, you'll need to factory reset your device and set it up again.

If you need to factory reset your Nest Hub Max, it’s best to follow the steps below first:

  1. Save any important footage from your device's video history.
  2. Remove your Nest Hub Max from the Google Home app.
  3. On the back of Nest Hub Max, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds. Your Nest Hub Max will let you know that it's resetting.

Hope this helps.

Best,

Dan

Good morning,

I believe this is somewhat resolved.  I reset the hub and can see most of the apps but some are still not visible.

I read about a system update that is being pushed to the hubs but I gave not received it yet.  Is there something I need to do to get the update new version of Fuchsia and Chromecast?

Hello srgray815,

That's perfect! Could you tell us the apps that are still missing? Also, what country are you located in? When a firmware update is available, your device will automatically download the update via an Over-the-Air (OTA) update. Just make sure that your Nest display and Chromecast device are connected to the internet to receive the firmware update

Let's double check the firmware version of your device:

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the display screen.
  2. Tap Settings > Device information > Technical information > Firmware version.

I am missing the icons for Paramount +, Apple TV and Sirius XM.

Firmware version 1.68.353511

Fuchsia version 10.20221207.2.120

Software version 51.0.24.513642888

Hey srgray815,

To confirm, how do you access the apps on your Nest Hub Max? Also, are you able to open the apps via voice command?

Cheers,

Muddi

I typically access the apps from the screen on the Nest Hub Max.  The voice command goes to the web page for Paramount+ and Apple TV but I get no response for Sirius XM and Hulu.

I really don't have time to do the video and I will use the device as it is working now.  I am in the USA and the things I primarily use the Max Hub works as it's supposed to.  The apps that I do not see aren't crucial and I have other devices I can use for those.  You can close out this issue.  Thank you for your assistance.

Hello there,

I understand. Normally, if you swipe up from the bottom of the screen you'll find the apps for displays. The list shows your top, frequently, or recently used apps, followed by all available apps in alphabetical order. If the apps still do not show up, you can send feedback on your device so our team can take a look at the issue. Learn more about how to send feedback on our Help Center.

Let us know if you have other questions or concerns about your device, otherwise, I'll close the thread after 24 hours.

Cheers,

Muddi
