Nest Hub Max camera M.I.A.

My camera is no longer available on my display. I did a factory reset, reset my phones network settings, my router was reset, tried all the methods on an Android, and Iphone. Nothing is helping. I can not set it up. I had it for a year with no problems and with the Fusia update it will not work. I bought it for all it does including the camera so I can check in on my house when away. Any updates in the future that may fix this software glitch?

Hey Robcam,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

I know how challenging it can be when you're having issues setting up your Google Nest Hub Max camera. A few questions: when did the issue start? Do you have other Nest devices (security camera, doorbell, thermostat)? What message are you getting when you set it up?

Please try these steps below:

  1. Remove the device from the old Home.
    1. Open the Google Home app .
    2. Tap the device Settings Unlink or Remove device Unlink or Remove.
  2. Perform a factory reset on Nest Hub Max. To do this, hold the volume up and volume down buttons for 10 seconds.
  3. Set up your Nest Hub Max on a new home structure.

Let me know if that works.

Cheers,

Muddi

I have 2 nest hub max, doorbell, and 3 cameras in addition to 2 new nest hub max with this same issue.   What happens with the existing devices when I move 1 or 2 nest hub max to new home structure?

Hey TN52,

Thanks for that information. Once the setup is successful, you can move your existing devices on the new home structure. By the way, do you have a Nest subscription?

Muddi, is there any way to access the cameras on the 2 new Hubs without creating a new Home and moving everything?

Hi TN52,

Please note that all your devices should be on one home structure for you to access or stream it on the Nest Hub Max.
