Nest Hub Max showing limited YouTube account

Hello, I have my nest hub max set up and noticed that when I open YouTube it has a very limited single row of song/video suggestions and no typically YouTube interface. I noticed that the results are from the incorrect YouTube account but there is no account icon or subscriptions/history/home tab or anything like that.  I have two YouTube profiles under the same email but it doesn't offer a way to switch. A friend of mine has a nest hub which has full browser style YouTube and we are both up to date, any suggestions? I've attached a photo of mine and his to compare.  Thanks for reading!

If your Nest Hub Max is showing a limited YouTube account, it could be due to a few different reasons. Here are some possible solutions to try:

  1. Check your Google account: Make sure that you are logged into your Google account on the Nest Hub Max and that the account has access to your YouTube content. Sometimes, a limited account can occur if you are logged into a different Google account that does not have access to your full YouTube account.

  2. Check your YouTube settings: Open the YouTube app on the Nest Hub Max and check your settings to ensure that your account is set up properly. Go to the "Settings" menu and check that your account is linked and that you have access to all of your videos and playlists.

  3. Restart the device: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix issues with the Nest Hub Max. Try restarting the device by unplugging it from the power source, waiting for a few seconds, and then plugging it back in.

  4. Contact support: If the issue persists, contact Google support for assistance. They can help you troubleshoot the problem and find a solution.

Hey thanks for replying, unfortunately I can't look at the settings or account information because there is an extremely limited set of options in the YouTube app. There are no account settings, nothing to change or log out of.  I've already done restarts and factory resets, it never gives me an opportunity to choose the YouTube account or switch it.

Hello everyone,

Your help here is greatly appreciated, @florinedpearles

@TheBigL42, your Google Nest Hub Max will automatically use the account you're using to set it up for YouTube. Also, the videos presented are usually recommended based on your search history and previously watched videos. I understand that you wish to access more YouTube settings on your display. We're always looking for ways to improve, and we'll take this as feedback. You can also send feedback using your device by saying, "Hey Google, send feedback." Visit this link for more steps.

Let us know if you have additional questions or concerns about your device; otherwise, I'll close the thread after 24 hours.

Best regards,
Lovely
