Nest Hub keeps turning off my chosen album and defaulting to random photos. This just started today

As per subject, I'm having problems getting my nest hub photo frame to only show photos from the google photo album(s) that I have selected. After sometime of only showing from my album(s) it will start showing me photos from the art gallery (which I have not selected) and when I look at the settings for the photo frame, Art Gallery is selected while the one I selected when I set it up is not (Google Photos). Is there any other setting I can check to fix this? 

My photos are set to the same account.  I do not have curation on.  I change it back and within a minute if flips back.  This is ridiculous.

I have almost exactly the same problem!
Bought mine two or three weeks ago.  Never worked.

I select the album from Google Photo's.  In the menu, the chosen album is clearly visible and selected.   Then on the Hub, the art gallery is howing in the background (not the chosen album).  When I close the app, and reopen it, art gallery is selected.

We're sorry to hear about that experience. Let's go ahead and access the photo frame settings and see if this would make any changes.

 

  1. Open the Google Home app .
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. Select the 3 dots located on the upper right corner and tap on "Photo Frame Settings".
  4. Look for "Screen time-off" and turn it off.

Let us know if this works.
