Nest Max photo frame associated with incorrect (old) home

Hi - I have a Nest Hub Max photo frame which I originally set up in the bedroom of my previous home.

I have since moved to a new home and deleted the old one from Google, then set up all my devices including the Nest Hub Max photo frame - which is now in my kitchen. It shows the correct slide display but when I try to add the camera to the Nest app it fails at the "wrapping up" stage.

I have tried enabling the camera from within Home but when I do manage to get it connected it shows up as being in the *bedroom* where it was in my previous home - and is 'offline'. So somehow the *camera* part of the Hub is still associated with my *old* home.

Any suggestions what I can do? I've factory reset the Hub a couple of times but the camera won't forget that it was once in the bedroom and thinks it still is 😞

Hi Princess, thanks for your reply, but I managed to fix it in the end.

I have a Google Home smart speaker in my bedroom as well as the photo frame in my kitchen, and I wondered whether somehow Nest was getting the two devices confused. So I removed the smart speaker from my account and reset the device, then added it back before trying once again to enable the Nest cam on my Max - and now everything is working fine 🙂

Hi W1tchseason,

Thanks for reaching out.

We're sorry to hear about this experience. Since you've tried a series of steps like resetting your Google Nest Hub Max, can you confirm if you have tried setting it up using a different home structure? If this steps is not yet done, let's give it a try to see if you will still experience the same thing.

Lastly, can you please attach a photo/screenshot of the exact display that you're getting so we can further check?

Keep us posted.

Best,

Princess

Hi W1tchseason,

Thanks for the update. Glad to know that it's already working good.

Since this has been resolved, we'll consider this post complete and will lock it in 24 hours. Feel free to start a new thread if you need assistance with your Google Nest speakers and the community would gladly lend a hand.

Best,

Princess
