Nest Mini (2) won't setup

Starondr

Recently I had my WiFi changed to a new one. Right after I tried setting up my nest mini and it either says that there is a problem linking my account or that the setup failed. I've tried restarting and resetting it to no avail. When I try to talk to it says "please login through the Google home app". I've also tried stuff in the home app. The only thing I discovered was that when I open my nest mini tab it starts setting up, but it always ends in one of the previously stated scenarios. Please someone help I have no idea what the could be.

Hey Starondr,

Thanks for reaching out — let's see what's going on with your Nest Mini.

A few questions — is your Nest Mini within 15 to 20 feet (5 to 6 meters) away from your router? Also, are you getting any message when connecting it to your Wi-Fi?

Give these steps a try:

  1. Make sure your phone is connected to the same network where you want to connect your Nest Mini.
  2. Uninstalling and reinstalling your Google Home app.
  3. If you're using an iOS device, make sure Local Network Access is turned on for the Google Home app and
  4. Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
  5. Reboot your router and Nest Mini to refresh the connection.
  6. Toggle the Wi-Fi off/on on your set up device.
  7. Reset your Nest Mini once more.

Looking forward for your response.

Best,

Alex
