Nest Mini keeps resetting itself to factory settings

Hello,

my Nest Mini keeps resetting itself to factory settings about once a day. My only option is then to set it up again from scratch via the Google Home app.

Obviously this defeats the purpose of the device itself, it's supposed to be a home assistant but it's unable to assist me in any way as it resets constantly!
Please help me out, is there a way to restore the software or firmware completely?

There may be something wrong with your device. Are you using the original power adapter?

Try moving it near your router for the time being. Reboot your Mini (again) and your network. Hoping that will help.

@JillG, thanks for the help.

@lmambi, I wanted to follow up and see if you are still in need of any help. Have you had the chance to try the suggestion above? If yes, how is it? In addition, doing a sequential reboot would be a big help. Unplug your router followed by your Nest Mini. Restarting your phone might also help. Re-plug everything starting with your router.

Hello everyone, I have tried all the steps above but the issue persists.

All reebots did not help and the device keeps resetting itself. That means that every time I want to use it, I open the Google home app and find the message “set up Nest Mini” and need to set it up again

 

I have found a few articles online saying this has happened to quite a few devices but no software update to solve the problem has been issued.

please help
